Quintana Roo has formalized important investments with foreign investors for more than 2 billion dollars. Since 2019, Quintana Roo is projected as one of the strongest economies in México, because of the tourism and the dollar investments, which are believed to increase by more than 65% this year compared to 2018, will diversify its industry in the whole state,causing several projects in the real estate, health, entertainment, communications and technology industries. Puerto Cancun, will continue its growth and development, through towers of condominiums, hotels and marinas, that will represent more than three thousand direct jobs. In addition, an investment of 800 million dollars is being projected in two hotel projects, which will begin construction this year; Six new lodging centers in Cancun, Isla Mujeres, Puerto Morelos and the Riviera Maya, with an offer of over a thousand rooms.
With the arrival of the Mayan train to the south of the entity, will promote the development and growth of Chetumal and Bacalar, some organizations and businessmen have already met, to discuss the issue and consolidate the projects, in a friendly and sustainable way with the natural environment, avoiding thus, a negative environmental impact. Among the projects that were presented we have, "The Blue Lagoon", which proposes the construction of 1,800 tourist villas, with a low environmental impact, residential area, condominiums and a polyphorum around the Bacalar´s lagoon, focused on the market for retirees and pensioners from Canada and the United States, whose initial investment will exceed 300 million pesos. "The Rapids" project was also presented, which consists of a theme park for kayaking, hiking and other ecotourism activities near Chetumal, with an investment yet, to be determined. Finally the "Bacalar project", a magical resort, located around the Bacalar´s Lagoon, with a proposed investment of 110 million pesos, for the construction of 12 bungalows, 18 ecological cabins, restaurant, shopping area, wooden walker and other amenities.
On the Mayan Riviera, the construction of Amikoo, will offer at least 24 modern attractions, divided into four zones: The Extreme Mayan Park (jungle), Mayan Adventure (Mayan City), Mayan Discovery (Museums of Anthropology and Archeology), and the Earth Amikoo (shopping center and restaurants). It will have a giant wave pool; Panoramic flight simulators and an underwater scientific expedition simulator. In this way Amikoo joins other ambitious projects in the destination, such as the DreamWorks theme park, as well as Dreampark and Thrillerpark, near Punta Maroma, which will contribute to making Cancun and the Mayan Riviera, one of the most important tourist centers of the world.
In Tulum they are committed to the services modernization, establishing digitized information modules, with Wifi service in the coastal corridor, public beaches and archeological zone.
The Quintana Roo Social Responsibility Program, its getting involved with tourism companies and organizations projects for environmental protection and various actions, for the good of the inhabitants of this touristic destination. In the next two years, Quintana roo will receive a foreign investment for more than two thousand million dollars, placing it in third place nationwide, with more interest in detonating projects.
